- Account details — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile photo via Firebase Authentication.
- Borewell data — information you voluntarily register (location, depth, status, contact number).
- Contact form — the name, email and message you submit to reach us.
- Chatbot messages — text you send to our assistant, Bhumi, to generate a reply.
- Preferences — your chosen language, stored locally in your browser.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data to authenticate you, power the borewell map and predictions, respond to your messages, remember your language, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data.
Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google) — authentication.
- Google Gemini — powers the Bhumi chatbot's replies.
- Razorpay — processes donations securely; we never see your card details.
- OpenStreetMap & Nominatim — maps and reverse-geocoding.
- Google Maps & YouTube — embedded map and video.
Data Sharing & Disclosure
We share data only with the service providers listed above, as needed to operate the platform, or when required by law. Borewell details you register may be shown on the public congestion map to enable community water-sharing.
Data Security
We rely on established providers (Firebase, Razorpay) and industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also revoke Google sign-in access from your Google account settings.
Children's Privacy
Bhujal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date.
